Foot Ulcers

The breaks in the skin that fails to heal result as foot ulcers. Foot ulcers are accompanied by inflammation and result in chronic when it doesn’t heal. This ulcer is usually infected in elderly people. Foot care is an important part of diabetic’s management as there is a higher risk of foot ulcer among diabetics patients. The main causes of foot ulcers are poor blood circulation in legs. The causes of ulcer in the foot may be due to injuries, diabetes, certain skin conditions, vascular diseases, tumors and infections. Toe ulcer is a type of foot ulcer. This ulcer usually affects the tip of the toes or the in-between the toes where the toes rub against each other or when the bones protrude out and rub against the bed sheet shoes or socks. It’s usually caused due to arterial defect. This ulcer painful mainly during the night and the individual seem to rub his/her leg against the bed to get some kind of relief. The leg may at times bulge and the individual may experience the sensation of burning and itching. To keep away from ulcers in the foot it is necessary take care of the foot properly by washing it regularly and keeping a check on the wounds in the foot.
