Ulcer

Individuals affected with eye ulcer generally have recent history of wound in the eye or an irritation occurs in the surface due to eyelashes or may be the result of defective closure of eyes. The various other causes of eye ulcer are if a person was around smoke or in an environment that was set up with eye irritants or had been wearing the contact lenses for longer duration. The eye ulcers are quite painful and the patient has tendency to feel that there is something in the eye. A person infected with eye ulcer may develop redness in the white part of the eye, spasm; there might be a discharge from the eye. The eye that is infected to ulcer generally is sensitive to the bright light and often squints. There is no exact preventive measure for eye ulcer but if an individual happens to get a wound in cornea it is necessary to take immediate medication and people using contact should take effective measures to prevent infection. Eye ulcer is generally very threatening because it ends in loss of vision if left casually without taking any proper treatment. Whereas when it is treated in the right time it may be cured within 2 or 3 weeks.
